Who we are
We started out as two young kids in the Southwest part of Atlanta. Little did we know the impact that golf would have on our lives at the time. We both grew up together in the First Tee program. Forward 15 years, Erin, a graduate of FAMU, teamed up with Morris, a graduate of Southern Polytechnic College to start ETees.
What Golf Means To Us
Since the age of 8, we were introduced to the golf industry via The First Tee program. This not only taught young people the beautiful game of golf, but also developmental life skills. Through the years we both began to get better and more competitive. We started to play in the AJGA tournaments across GA. Not only did golf create a competitive nature in our lives but also a way to connect with people. It was a beautiful thing and before long we had unlocked new friendships and opportunities that have since changed our lives forever. Golf is a movement, a lifestyle, but more importantly it is a
community. Here at ETees Golf we want to create that.
As we formed the brand, there were a couple of things that went into the conception of the name ETees. People who grew up in Atlanta during the 90s and 2000s were called ATLiens. We wanted to figure out a way to embrace our culture into the theme of our brand. Originally the idea was to be only just tees but later we decided that this would be too small of a concept. Since the sport is evolving and the obsession with golf flight and distance is becoming more and more sought after, we wanted to incorporate that into our brand, henceforth we settled for the name ETees. We want people to join in this experience, it’s not just about selling. It’s about fulfillment for us.
Erin, a LTJG in the Navy at the time, actually witnessed some unknown phenomena out in the skies in Mississippi where his ship was docked. This experience further cemented the name. Now you can see, the name isn’t just a name but a story within itself.
